I need them every day. The truth is that we all do. Yesterday’s words just won’t work for today. I wake up every morning needing more faith, encouraging words, hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. What about you?
We start each day with the cares of yesterday threatening to overwhelm us. We remember the things that circled around in our minds the night before..we need help to walk into this day. We need fresh faith each and every morning. For me that comes through being still.. talking with God..and waiting to see how He will put me on my feet again. Sometimes just looking at the blue sky or taking a walk is enough.. other times I need to cry and ask Him for healing and tell Him that I am not being trusting..that my faith is wavering and I wish my trials were over.
We are on a great adventure and the journey is treacherous at times. We have an enemy who would like to destroy our faith and hang us out to dry. We need help every second of every day..the world is spinning out of control and only God sees the bigger picture. Let’s agree to trust Him today..just today..to walk closely by His side believing that He has good things for us. Let’s put our hand in His and know that He will never let us go.. Let’s do that today and tomorrow morning we will decide to do it again.. one day at a time.

‘I wake up every morning needing more faith, encouraging words, hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. What about you?’ Yes, everyday I need my daily ‘bread’. I feel that you at times are troubled; I can identify with this completely as for some reason I find myself troubled at times, and not knowing what to do about it. I have come to a few conclusions about why God allows those He loves to be troubled; it shows that though He loves us, He doesn’t always shield us from the harsh realities of the world; He doesn’t mollycoddle us, but let’s us stand on our own two feet; and yet, He encircles us with His love and never lets us out of His sight. Yes, there is a paradox here alright, one that I can’t fully explain or understand at this time.
Our emotions are like leaves on a wind-blown plain; they go hither and thither and all we can do sometimes is hold on tight, hold tight to God’s love and have faith in Him that He will lead us to the Promised Land.
Funny that you would mention the Promised Land.. just this morning I was sensing that God was saying that very thing to me. We need to hold on.. keep praying, and trusting that He hears. Yes.. He allows trials so that we will realize that we need Him and that we are not on our own..He is with us and for us.
