” Those who trust in God”

That’s us. We are His people. The sheep of His pasture. We live knowing that our God is with us. Even if we wake up in the morning with spiritual amnesia saying “God who?” He is the same. He never changes. We are safe and secure in the arms of Jesus.

I need to hear that today..don’t you? There are moments..hours..days..months when it seems like He is gone..busy..distracted. Our hearts are weighed down..our spirits are sinking. We wonder what is happening.. we feel depressed..lost..forgotten..afraid..alone. The storm is coming and we don’t know how we are going to make it. Our circumstances need adjusting and we have no power to change them.

Our faith is tested..we are failing..doubts plague us..worry and anxiety set up camp in our minds and hearts. We read our Bibles and pray..nothing changes. What is happening? We are living the Christian life..the road is long and there are challenges. Our feelings deceive us..our minds play tricks on us. God is the same. His promises are true..His faithfulness is unending. He will never forsake..abandon or forget us.

Our hope is found by remembering the things we know about Him. We are secure because His character is unchanging and He has not lost control of the universe. Our lives are anchored to Him..He holds on to us even we try to pull away. He keeps us close to heart and brings reminders to us..so we don’t give up. He is our ” Jehovah Jireh”.. our provider.

“Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem so the Lord surrounds His people, both now and forever.”

  1. Such a great reminder Alicia. I find my repeated prayer lately is, “I believe, help my unbelief”. Walking by faith rather than by sight is very difficult right now, but I keep at it a step at a time. Peter walked on water in the midst of a terrible storm because his eyes were fixed on his Savior. He fell when he looked at the storm instead of the Savior. I am trying to keep my eyes fixed!
Amen and amen sister!! Love you!

  2. I totally understand..I feel the same way. Looking at the invisible future and believing it is all good! Our faith is being stretched as we walk forward..holding on for dear life. Quite an adventure!
