Simple Things

There are some simple things that are the foundation of our faith. God is good. He is sovereign over everything and everyone. He is not the author of confusion. His ways are not our ways. He is mysterious and yet can be known. His love is far greater than anything we can ever imagine. He is never far away. We can approach Him at anytime anywhere with our cares and burdens. He is the giver of life. He pours out His grace freely. His love for us is unconditional. He paid the price.

Why is all this important? Because if we remember all this it will help us navigate the road of life. The church is filled with error and bad theology these days. We are exposed to many lies and deceptions about the nature of God. Throughout history God has been misrepresented and misunderstood by His people. The church has been divided and fragmented for the last 2000 years. But God is the same. He has not changed. He reveals Himself in the Bible and He is still speaking words of affirmation and love to His people. He does not want to be hidden..His desire is that we see enough of Him to trust Him with everything.

We are not meant to understand fully this side of eternity. In this world we see through a glass darkly. Yet He never fails to give us more than we need to stay faithful to the truth. We have the Holy Spirit to guide us and to warn us. In these confusing times we need Him more than ever. Our intimacy with God and our ability to hear His voice protects us from going down a bad road..believing lies..being deceived. Rely on Him..ask Him to show you the narrow path. Keep your eyes on God..pray unceasingly..filter everything through His word and you will always be safe in Him.

” Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulnesss.”
