Unveiling the Mystery

Sounds like a good title for our whole life with God.. doesn’t it? Yes it is one of the most intriguing parts of our journey. There is a mystery unfolding all the time. We only get to see a small part of the bigger picture of our lives. Yet God allows us to look back and when we do we often see how the things that happened make so much more sense now.

Our past is something that we can access anytime. There are many reasons to look back. We may need to understand something that is happening now and the past can hold the key for us. We may need to endure something painful and the past can bring comfort to us. We may be longing for evidence that God is working right now.. the past reminds us of that. Our history matters.. it matters to us and it matters to God. He loves history and uses it continually in the Bible to remind us of His goodness. The Old Testament is full of stories that reveal His activity in history. When Jesus came into the world He interrupted history in a way that had never happened before..He appeared at the perfect moment.. all the conditions that were needed were in place. God’s timing is perfect and He makes no mistakes.

What does all that have to do with us.. ? We can apply these ideas to our lives today. Whatever is happening to you right now is happening at just the right time and when it is time for something new to happen.. God will move and things will change. He never misses.. He is the creator of history and He does it perfectly.

Take time today to remember what He has done for you.. there is more to come..

“For I know the plans I have for you..they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a hope and a future.”

He makes all things beautiful!
